Bright residential bedroom with natural light through window film

WHAT WE INSTALL

What Heat Rejection Film Does for Your Home

Premium heat rejection window film tackles the biggest comfort and efficiency challenges in sun-exposed homes. It reduces solar heat coming through your windows, blocks UV rays that fade furniture and flooring, and cuts glare, all without changing the look of your glass.

The result is a cooler, more comfortable home with lower energy bills and better-protected interiors. Non-metallic film options are also well suited for coastal environments because they resist corrosion and avoid the signal interference associated with metallic films.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Heat Rejection Film FAQ

How much heat does window film actually block?+
Premium heat rejection films can block up to 80% of solar heat and reject up to 97% of infrared energy. In hot, sun-exposed rooms, that can translate to interiors that feel several degrees cooler and a reduced load on your AC.
Will window film make my windows look dark or tinted?+
Not with the right high-clarity film. Modern non-metallic and ceramic films reject heat without heavy tinting, so your windows can maintain a clear, natural appearance from both inside and out.
Does window film protect furniture from fading?+
Yes. Quality heat rejection film can block up to 99% of UV rays, which are a major cause of fading in furniture, flooring, artwork, and fabrics. While no film can eliminate fading entirely, UV blocking is one of the most effective ways to extend the life of your interiors.
How long does installation take?+
Most residential installations take one day. A typical home with 15–25 windows can be completed in 6–8 hours. The film needs about 30 days to fully cure (you may see small water pockets initially, these are normal and will disappear). There’s no disruption to your daily routine during the curing process.
Is heat rejection window film safe for coastal homes with salt air?+
Yes. Non-metallic heat rejection films are well suited for coastal environments. Unlike metallic films that can corrode in salt air, non-metallic and ceramic options resist corrosion and do not interfere with Wi-Fi or cell reception.
What warranty comes with residential heat rejection film?+
Warranty coverage depends on the selected film and manufacturer. Many premium residential films include strong manufacturer-backed coverage, and Sea Cool handles the documentation and installation standards needed for warranty eligibility.
