MARINE FILM SPECIALISTS
Protect Your Vessel. Preserve Your View.
Sea Cool is an authorized 3M Prestige window film dealer and one of Florida’s largest Prestige dealers, with installers trained on 3M Prestige films. We install 3M Prestige and other high-performance non-metallic nano-ceramic films for yachts, captains, charter fleets, and marine service yards across South Florida.
From Bahia Mar and Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale to Sunset Harbour and Miami Beach Marina in Miami, Rybovich and Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach, Lauderdale Marine Center, Bradford Marine, and Ocean Reef, Sea Cool works dockside around active marina and yard schedules.
Marine window film helps keep salons, staterooms, and pilothouses cooler while protecting interiors from UV exposure. Because the right film is non-metallic, it is built for salt-air environments without the metal-layer corrosion risk or signal concerns associated with metallized films.

WHO WE WORK WITH
Marine Window Film for Sportfishing Yachts, Motoryachts & Superyachts
Sea Cool works on sportfishing boats at Pier Sixty-Six, motoryachts along the Brickell waterfront, and superyachts scheduled through South Florida yards. Different vessels, same expectation: cooler interior glass, less glare, UV protection, and a clean install that works around captain, crew, and yard schedules.
Sportfishing Yachts
Hatteras and Viking, including helm and salon glass where glare, visibility, and salt‑air exposure all matter.
Motoryachts
Azimut, Sunseeker, Princess, Hatteras, Prestige, Absolute, Galeon, Pershing, Marlow, Aicon, Monte Carlo, and Tiara express cruisers.
Megayachts / Superyachts
Benetti, Feadship, Sanlorenzo, CRN, Ocean Alexander, Westport, and other large yacht programs coordinated around captain, crew, and yard schedules.

MARINE FILM PERFORMANCE
Built to Perform on the Water
Performance comes from two things: the film and the install. On every yacht we touch, both have to be right: the glass needs to stay cooler, the interior needs protection, and the film choice has to make sense for a signal-sensitive vessel.

97%
INFRARED HEAT REJECTED
Reduces cabin heat before it loads the A/C system.
99%
UV PROTECTION
Helps protect upholstery, flooring, electronics, and finishes.
59%
ON-ANGLE SOLAR ENERGY REJECTED
Reflects how Prestige 70 performs when sun hits yacht glass at a 60° angle.
6-Year
SEA COOL MARINE WARRANTY
Sea Cool’s own 6-year marine warranty, with terms provided in the project paperwork.
HELM TO CABIN COVERAGE
Reduce Generator Load. Extend Comfort Below Deck.
Marine air conditioning systems work harder than any residential unit. By rejecting heat before it enters the cabin, marine film reduces the cooling load on your generators, helping improve comfort and protect equipment from constant solar exposure.
We film every glass surface, helm windows, salon panels, stateroom ports, and pilothouse glass. Each installation is custom-measured and precision-cut on board.

HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISON
Sea Cool vs. V-Kool
V-KOOL is known in marine window film. For yacht owners, the better question is practical: which film package gives you high heat performance, non-metallic options for electronics-sensitive boats, clean dockside installation, and local South Florida support after the work is done?
Swipe left to compare
| Decision Point | Sea Cool Marine Film Package | V-KOOL |
|---|---|---|
| Published Heat Performance | 59% TSER at 60° sun angle | Strong heat-rejection reputation, but heat is only part of the marine decision |
| Film Construction | Non-metallic Prestige / nano-ceramic options | Silver-based sputtered film |
| Electronics-Sensitive Vessels | Preferred for owners concerned about GPS, radar, AIS, VHF, Starlink, Wi‑Fi, and cellular signal considerations | Metallized construction should be evaluated carefully on electronics-sensitive vessels |
| Salt-Air Ownership | No metal layer in the film options Sea Cool favors for exposed yacht glass | Respected marine product, but construction tradeoffs still matter on the water |
| Warranty & Local Support | Sea Cool 6-Year Marine Warranty, installed and supported by our South Florida team | Product warranty path depends on dealer/manufacturer terms |
- If you only want a famous marine film name, V-KOOL belongs in the conversation.
- If you want a non-metallic yacht-film package with local warranty support, Sea Cool’s approach is the stronger fit.
- On real boats, the decision is not just a lab spec. It is heat, glare, salt air, electronics concerns, glass prep, edge detail, and who shows up if there is a problem.

Frequently Asked Questions
Marine Window Film
Will marine window film interfere with GPS, VHF, radar, or other onboard electronics?+
No. The marine films Sea Cool recommends are non-metallic nano-ceramic films, so they block heat and UV without the metallic layers that can interfere with GPS, VHF radio, AIS, Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite, or radar signals. This is one of the biggest reasons not to use generic automotive or metallized film on boats.
How does non-metallic film hold up in salt air and constant marine humidity?+
Because the film contains no metallic layers, it avoids the corrosion risk that can affect metallized films in salty marine environments. That helps preserve clear optics, heat rejection, and signal-safe performance on exposed yacht and boat glass.
Can marine window film be installed on plexiglass or acrylic boat windows?+
In most cases, it is not recommended. Window film is engineered for glass, not flexible acrylic, polycarbonate, or plexiglass panels. Adhesives and heat absorption can behave differently on plastics, and removal can risk scratching, haze, crazing, or panel damage. Sea Cool evaluates the surface before recommending film, but the safest marine window film applications are on suitable glass.
Does marine window film help protect yacht interiors from fading?+
Yes. Marine window film can block up to 99% of UV rays and reduce infrared heat, helping protect upholstery, flooring, woodwork, helm surfaces, electronics, and interior finishes from sun damage. It will not eliminate fading completely because heat, visible light, humidity, and normal wear still play a role, but it is one of the strongest upgrades for slowing sun-related fading on yacht interiors.
Can you install film on curved salon windows, tempered pilothouse glass, or shaped portholes?+
Yes. Our installers shape each piece onboard to conform to curved glass, tempered windows, and custom openings. Complex curves and compound-curved surfaces both work. Tempered glass does not require any special film, just proper handling during installation to avoid thermal stress.
How long does a typical marine window film installation take?+
Boats under 40′ usually complete in a single day. Yachts from 40′ to 80′ typically take one to two days. Larger vessels with extensive glazing may need two to three days. We work dockside or in your slip, no need to haul out or move to dry dock.
How much does marine window film help with A/C load on a vessel?+
Most A/C units on vessels in South Florida work nonstop when the vessel is in use. With people coming in and out and doors opening frequently, they may never achieve a full cooling cycle to the desired temperature. Sea Cool window film gives the A/C system extra help by rejecting up to 97% of infrared heat and 99% of UV while keeping clear optics. In the tropical sun, that will typically reduce temperatures in direct sunlight by up to 9%.
